Zombero is an action game inspired by Archero, where you've got to make your way through a series of screens killing any zombies you come across. This video game has several roguelike touches about it since no two levels will be the same, regardless of whether it's your first or thirteenth time playing.
You'll quickly pick up how to play Zombero due to its simple gameplay: moving using the typical virtual stick and attacking automatically when you stop moving. Like in Archero, the fun part of the game is that the enemy must be in your line of attack to be able to shoot successfully. If there are obstacles in the way, a clear shot won't be possible. And of course, the enemy won't be standing around waiting for you. Zombero also has mechanics for reloading between bursts of bullets, which adds an extra layer of difficulty.
As you progress through the game, you'll level up and gain new skills: you will be given three to choose from randomly and you'll have to pick one. These skills will let you shoot faster, improve your reload time, apply effects to your bullets, get them to bounce off the wall... There are endless skills to discover in Zombero, and you can create synergies between them to become a true zombie annihilator. The problem is that these skills will disappear if you die in combat, although, luckily, the items you carry are permanent and can be leveled up to improve your character.
Zombero is an excellent action game that adds new elements to the mechanics seen in similar games. This video game will have you glued to your screen, thanks to its fun premise and its interesting visuals that you might have already seen in the studio's other games, such as The Walking Zombie 2 or World War Polygon.
